Installation of the OmegaT Translation Memory Software

1. Get the latest version of Java for your Operating System. In Linux, simply check your Software Updates.
2. Download OmegaT from http://omegat.org/download
   • Hint: For Windows and MacOS, download the corresponding installer containing the Java installation files.
3. Extract the archive into
   ~/bin/OmegaT/ (in Linux) or use the installer (Windows etc.)
4. Test it: On the prompt, start java -jar omegat.jar
5. Follow the example shown in the window “Quick Start”, “Learn OmegaT in 5 Minutes”
